Noah Korovesi was nearly unstoppable in the Lancers winner-takes-all playoff game against the Niagara Knights Saturday in Welland.
Coming out of the gates hot, the fourth year athlete lit up the first two quarters, scoring more than 50% of the Lancers 39 points at the half. Going 3-3 from behind the arc and 9-12 from the field, Korovesi’s offensive dominance was only matched by his aggression on defense. Playing with the drive and determination only a graduating player can, the 6’3 forward brought an intensity that led his team through a tough battle with the Knights.
With 22 points in the first half alone, Korovesi finished the double overtime decision as his team’s leading scorer with 26 points and 3 steals.
