Two Lancers were named to the OCAA All Rookie team on Wednesday night at the Men's Volleyball Provincial Championship banquet in Toronto, hosted by Humber College.

First year outside hitters Caleb Seguin and Trevor Fortier were honoured with the awards after breakout rookie seasons with the Lancers. Seguin, a 6'4 right side player from Pickering, Ontario led his team in scoring with 203 points while Fortier, a native of Brockville, Ontario recorded 131 points.

Throughout the course of the season, Fortier has developed into a threat both at the net and from the service line. His sharp eye, visible passion for the game and impressive array of shots make him a tough offensive contender every time he steps on the court.

Rounding out the offence on the opposite side of the court, Seguin powered through and overtop his opponents with a monster vertical, fast arm swing and increasingly consistent hitting percentage. Like Fortier, it's easy to see Seguin's passion for the game regardless of the score. Both athletes compete with persistence and a determination to better themselves and their team.

Congratulations to Caleb & Trevor on an incredible season.
