McCalla and Ajose Earn Major OCAA Men's Basketball League Honours

The Loyalist Lancers Men's Basketball team wrapped up an exciting 2025–26 regular season with exceptional individual recognition across the OCAA East Division. Two Lancers emerged as major award winners, highlighting the rising talent and scoring power within the program.

Fifth-year phenom Romain McCalla delivered one of the most dominant offensive seasons in the conference, earning multiple prestigious honours:

• OCAA East Division Scoring Champion
• OCAA Men's Basketball League Scoring Champion
• OCAA East Division First Team All-Star

McCalla's explosive scoring ability made him one of the toughest matchups in the OCAA, consistently leading the Lancers' offense and finishing at the top of both divisional and provincial scoring charts. His First Team All-Star selection cements him as one of the league's elite players.

First-year guard Tai Ajose made an immediate impact in his debut season, earning recognition as one of the top newcomers in the conference:

• OCAA East Division Rookie of the Year
• OCAA East Division All-Rookie Team

Ajose brought high energy, speed, and confidence to the Lancers lineup throughout the season, becoming a key contributor on both ends of the floor. His Rookie of the Year honour places him among the premier young players in the OCAA.
