Lancers Welcome Thunder Bay Guard Ben Keeler to Men’s Basketball Program
The Loyalist Lancers men's basketball team is excited to announce the commitment of Ben Keeler, a guard from Thunder Bay, Ontario, who will join Head Coach McGuire and the program this coming season.
Keeler comes to Loyalist from Westgate Collegiate and Vocational Institute, where he recently competed at OFSAA and gained valuable experience playing against top high school competition. Standing 5'10", he also brings experience from AAU basketball, further strengthening his background at the provincial and elite club levels.
Basketball has been a constant in Ben's life, as he began playing with Blaze Basketball at the age of four and has continued developing his game ever since. His dedication has been recognized through multiple individual honours, including Most Valuable Player, Most Improved Player, and Most Offensive Player awards. One of the highlights of his playing career has been helping his teams capture five consecutive city championships, a testament to his long‑term commitment and competitive drive.
Ben chose Loyalist because of the strong support within the men's basketball program, the Athletics & Recreation Department, the College's facilities, and the overall campus environment..
Off the court, Ben will be studying in the Carpentry & Renovation Techniques program. Outside of basketball, he enjoys golfing, fishing, and spending time outdoors.
The Lancers look forward to welcoming Ben to the team and are excited about what he will bring to the men's basketball program.
Welcome to Loyalist, Ben!
