CALLAHAN COMMITS TO LANCERS
Local talent Grace Callahan has committed to the Lancers' women's basketball team.
The Women's Basketball team at Loyalist College continues to ready itself for the upcoming 2022/23 season with the addition of Grace Callahan to the squad.
A homegrown athlete and St. Theresa Titan, Callahan recently earned a silver medal at the Ontario Provincial Championships with the U19 Belleville Spirits. This 5'7" ultra-competitive shooting guard from Corbyville, ON is set to join the Pre-Health Sciences Pathway program in September. Defensively, she's a force to be reckoned with and has a great basketball experience.
"Grace has played and won a lot of basketball games already in her career" says Head Coach Caleb Hugh. "She's a great scorer in transition and impacts winning at a high level. She'll provide us a great option on the wing that gets the job done on both ends of the court."
When asked what made her decide to come to Loyalist, Callahan stated she "would love to play for my local college and for a longtime coach and friend, Coach Caleb Hugh."
The Lancers will be hosting training camps throughout the summer months; anyone interested in taking part should complete the Prospective Athlete Form to get connected with the coaching staff.
