Lancers Earn Dominant Win Over Surge

The Loyalist Lancers women's basketball team secured a decisive 83-39 victory over the St. Lawrence Surge in Kingston on Saturday, October 26. The Lancers set the tone early, outscoring the Surge 24-4 in the first quarter, and maintained a strong lead throughout.

Leading the Lancers offensively was Gwen Forrester, who scored 14 points, including four 3-pointers. Jacintha Julie also contributed significantly with 14 points and 7 rebounds, while Kayley Lemaire added 13 points and nearly recorded a double-double with 9 rebounds. Grace Callahan's 11 points and 8 rebounds rounded out a balanced attack for Loyalist.

Defensively, the Lancers forced numerous turnovers, scoring 30 points off turnovers compared to the Surge's 6, and held St. Lawrence to 22.2% shooting from the field. Loyalist also dominated the paint with 16 points and grabbed 48 rebounds, ensuring consistent control over the game.
