Ella Bannon, a second-year paramedic student, has been an integral part of the Lancer offense throughout all three games the team has played this season. Having played an excellent game in season opener against the George Brown Huskies on September 6th, Bannon was primed and ready going into a tough matchup against the St. Lawrence Vikings. The Lancers trailed the Vikings 2-1 in the first half until Bannon buried the ball in the back of the net to tie the game at 2. The 5'5 forward used her power and speed to keep the Vikings at a distance, forcing a 3-3 final decision.
Despite having dropped to at 0-1-2 record after a loss to the Centennial Colts on the 13th, Bannon and her team continue to battle with intensity and passion everytime they step on the field. Bannon's natural shift into a leadership role within the team in her second year has been a positive move for the Lancers. With 10 first year players on the squad, having solid leaders on the team has been more important than ever.
