The Loyalist Lancers volleyball teams had a dominant Friday night, as both the women's and men's squads swept the Fleming Phoenix in straight sets.
After a bit of a slow start, the Lancers earned a 25-22 first set win before cruising through the second and third with scores of 25-10, and 25-12. They showcased a strong, deep bench with 11 players contributing in the match. Charlie Cudmore continued to lead their team with an 11 point game that included 6 kills, 4 aces and a block. Veteran setter Georgi Williams had a standout game with 5 kills & 3 aces for 8 points. Amber Verbruggen also contribued 8 points, which included 3 big blocks.
The Lancers look to add another win to their records when they take on the Durham Lords in Oshawa on Wednesday, November 6th.
