The Lancers came out strong with high intensity and a strong will, battling with the Knights point for point. The Lancers fell behind in the first and dropped set 1 but picked up the intensity for the second and came back to even the game at 1 each.
The Lancers battled hard during the third and fourth set but couldn't quite pull ahead. The Knights played consistently well through all 4 sets and committed limited unforced errors to hold off the Lancers.
Second year Lancer Trevor Fortier led the Lancers offensively with smart shots down the line that consistently beat the Knights' block. In the back court, first year Lancer Will Galbraith fought hard to keep the Lancers in the game with dependable defence and block coverage.
Fourth year Lancer and team captain, Josh Roberts proved his dominance within the OCAA with strong serves and smart shots at the net that kept the Lancers in close margins with the Knights.
The Lancers look to rebound from the loss Saturday when they travel to Seneca College to take on the Sting at 3 p.m.
